Fair Grounds

Hello everyone! My friend Izzy and I were lucky enough to enjoy the North Carolina Mountain State Fair last week. The weather in our area was perfect for meandering through the brightly colored booths and food stands. Besides enjoying the fair's culinary goods and games, Izzy and I saw many farm animals and even got to try woodworking in the arts building. On top of all that, we got an adrenaline rush from the carnival rides. My personal favorite was the Cyclops, which acts like a giant, swinging pendulum that you're strapped into. As the day came to an end, We rode a ski lift and admired the sunset and the fair lights.  Needless to say, it was a perfect way to end a perfect day.

Puppy Love

Hello Everyone! As much as we don't want this warm weather to end, Labor Day marks the unofficial change from summer to fall. It is now time to exchange swimsuits for beanies and smoothies for pumpkin spice lattes. To say goodbye to the summer weather, my family and I decided to visit the pool with my cousins! I had such a fun time swimming, reading, and playing with their new puppy! The weather and temperature were perfect, and so was the pup. There is no better way to end the season than with great people and great pets. I'll miss summer, but I can't wait to see what this Autumn will hold!

My Weekend in Words

Hello everyone! This weekend I was lucky enough to travel through the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains with my family. On Sunday we drove over to the Dillard House to eat lunch, and even stopped at a salvage store along the way! They had an incredible Blue Ridge Parkway "Overlook Ahead" sign that I couldn't resist taking a picture with. For those who are unfamiliar with the Dillard House, they only serve one set meal a day, and we were fortunate enough to get fried chicken! The food was great, but even greater was the view from the restaurant. It was cloudy, but the temperatures were perfect. They also had lovely hydrangeas everywhere! Overall, the trip was wonderful. I had a great time and I can't wait to return!
