December

Hey guys! I'm sorry that I haven't been on in a while. With the stress of midterms and the holiday season, I just haven't gotten around to writing a post. I figure I would just do a giant overview of my crazy month!

We went to go get Christmas trees in the first week of December, and it was loads of fun! We went to an adorable little tree farm where we got my tree for my room and our family tree. There was even a cat named Roxy to greet us! Afterwards, we enjoyed the hot springs that Hot Springs, NC is named for. I had so much fun!

I also went to many Christmas parties with my family!

My friends and I even had a gathering where we celebrated together. We all dressed up and had dinner before exchanging gifts. It was a very merry "friendsmas" celebration!

I was able to spend some time with my cousins on Christmas Eve, and on Christmas, I was so glad to be able to spend time with my mom and dad. Plus, I got my first pair of duck boots!

I'm wishing all of my viewers a wonderful New Year, and I hope you enjoyed this post!

XOXO,
Sadie

Thanksgiving!

Well, Thanksgiving and Colorful Friday were such a success for me! I'm so grateful that I was able to visit with my family that I haven't seen in forever! Thanksgiving is usually super busy for me. In the morning, my family and I went to a Thanksgiving breakfast, then we drove home to host our own Thanksgiving lunch, and then we drove down to my Nana's for a final Thanksgiving dinner. I was so happy to visit with all of my family that I rarely get to see! I even got to kick some butt at Just Dance and get my butt kicked in Mario Cart at the dinner!

I am so thankful for all that I have been given. From Duke TiP, to my wonderful friends, to having God in my life, I have been so blessed. Even though we should try to see this every day, we sometimes don't realize how great our lives are compared to others. Thanksgiving is a wonderful reminder of this, and it is always a good idea to remember to count our blessings!

Anyways, I ended up going Black/ Colorful Friday shopping! Usually I don't go on the actual Friday, and I will go on Saturday, but I ended up going on Friday this year! I got so many great deals! I was able to get almost all of my gifts for my friends, and splurged and got a few treats for me!

Here is my Thanksgiving outfit. I hope that you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving break!

Lastly, I am so thankful for all of my viewers! I wouldn't have this blog if it weren't for you!

XOXO,
Sadie

PS. Anthropologie did this super cute and Christmasy mini movie! Check it out here!

Stocking Stuffers!

I know, I know. It's only November, right? It's too early to be talking about Christmas! Well, with the stress of finals and the end of the semester, you usually freak out at the last minute about gifts for friends, which (hence the title) also make great stocking stuffers! So whether you are someone's Secret Santa, or are just looking for some good ideas to fill a stocking, this is your go to list of goods!

First up is a rollerball of a perfume. Almost everyone loves perfume, but make sure the gift recepient isn't allergic to any scents. Also, try and find an affordable perfume that they will really enjoy!

Next up are some cute socks! Who doesn't love some comfy and stylish socks to wear under boots! I really love socks from Old Navy, Aerie, and J. Crew.

Holiday mugs are always an adorable gift option. You can fill these with hot cocoa mix, nail and lip products, or anything you want! Seriously, these go-to's always make a good present.

Accessories are another good gift option. Things like rings, scarves, gloves, hats, bracelets, and necklaces all work. The only thing that I wouldn't get is earrings, because they might not have their ears pierced!

Another gift idea would be a Starbucks gift card if they love coffee! And who doesn't enjoy a latte or a smoothie?

If you have friends that are guys, baked goods or peppermint bark are always a good idea! Also, you could get them a notebook if they are into writing!

My last guide to gift giving is to not break the bank for gifts. As long as it comes from the heart, the thought is all that matters!

I hope your weekend is going well!

XOXO,
Sadie

My Week In Words

Woah, this past week was... How could I describe it? Jam packed? Crazy? Spooky? All of those fit equally! On Wednesday, my class went on a field trip to the Carl Sandburg House, and it was really nice to get out and spend some time with goats!

On Friday, my friends and I went trick or treating in Tryon, NC, and had a sleepover afterwards! I also entered a costume contest and won! I was Barbara Maitland from the film Beetlejuice, Izzy was a disco devil, Ailey was an 80's girl, and Reese was Kim Possible. I had such a fun Halloween!

I can't wait till next year! Also, we were greeted by a wintery surprise on Friday night. When we woke up on Saturday morning, we had seven inches of snow! I don't know about you, but I'm already pretty excited about Christmas!

I also got my first Caramel Brûlée Latte from Starbucks on Saturday and I must say, it was #heavenly!

I've really been loving Frank Sinatra and Bon Iver lately. If you have iTunes Radio, I highly suggest adding these two artists to your stations list. It is really good study music, and Frank Sinatra gets me in the Christmas mood!

I've even started putting together my wishlist! What do you guys want for Christmas?

Some picture credits to Ailey!

Sadie

Bringing Out My Striped Sweater

It's been getting pretty cold out lately, so I made the desision to put away my summer clothes and bring out the good ole' sweaters! I totally forgot about this mint-and-white striped beauty, so once I found it, I jumped for joy! I got it last year at Gap, so it's no longer availible.

I wore it to my close friend's small get-together. We made cookies, had tea, and hung out. On another note, I finally finished my Halloween costume. I think y'all will be frightfully surprised!

Next week is going to be really busy, so I'm excited! On Monday we have the book fair, so I'm going to pick up a good read, on Tuesday we have the Open House, on Wednesday we are going on a field trip to the Carl Sandburg House, and on Friday we are throwing a party in my ELA class. Oh, and it's Halloween! Anyways, this was my #ootd!

Also, my close friend leaves for a two month trip to Germany soon! I'm so jealous!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

XOXO,
Sadie

Hiking at Max Patch

Hello everyone! I hope you've been having a good day! A few days ago I went hiking up into the beautiful mountains of Hot Springs, NC. I've visited here several times during my childhood, but this visit was especially stunning. The leaves were all turning, so it was quite the color show. Just like everyone else who came with us, I was amazed by the beauty. The weather was chilly, so I was (finally!) able to bring out my peacoat and thick sweater! Have you guys been enjoying nature? Tell me on Instagram, Pinterest, or Tumblr!

I hope your Autumn has been as good as mine!

XOXO,
Sadie

The Indie Craft Parade

This weekend my mom and I went to the Indie Craft Parade! It is one of my favorite yearly events and I cannot wait to go next year! It is in Greenville, SC and features artists from around the southeast. I love going and buying goodies for my favorite season, Autumn! Afterwards, we stopped by the Brew and Ewe! I absolutely love this independent coffee shop that combines my love of coffee with sheep! Plus, they have fabulous Caramel Apple Lattes! Then we stopped by Anthropologie to get my best friend her birthday present! Oh, and if you're reading this Izzy, happy birthday!

Since I had to get up at 6:30 on a Saturday, I had some coffee in my new fox mug and a yummy pumpkin donut for breakfast!

Oh how I love this mug!

I just adore how they decorate it!

Me with my haul!!

This was at the Brew and Ewe! Isn't their logo so cute?!?

Just a panorama I took inside of a pizza place we went!

Another photo of my haul.

I purchased both of these fox pillows at the parade! Aren't they so cute?

Here are some of the prints I purchased, too! I think the teacup constellation is my favorite!

I hope your weekend was as fabulous as mine!

XOXO,
Sadie
